Other tools you may find usefulHow to Use the Noon Fee Calculator
The Noon Fee Calculator (UAE) helps you quickly see how much of a sale price remains after deducting commission and the FBN or shipping fee. All amounts are calculated in AED, and if you prefer, you can enter your own rates and treat the result as a calculation in another currency.
The tool has three editable fields:
- Price (AED) - the product price, default 199.
- Commission % - the commission percentage, default 12.
- FBN / shipping - the fulfillment or shipping fee amount, default 12 AED.
Enter your values, and the calculator instantly shows the commission amount and the amount left after fees. The default values are only a starting point - before planning prices, check Noon's current fee schedule and enter the rates that apply to your offer.
Example using the default values: price 199 AED, commission 12%, FBN / shipping 12 AED. The commission is 199 times 12 divided by 100 = 23.88 AED. After fees, 199 - 23.88 - 12 = 163.12 AED remains.
What Goes Into the Noon Commission
In the calculator, commission is calculated as a percentage of the price. The formula is simple: commission = price times commission percentage divided by 100. That result is subtracted from the price along with the FBN or shipping amount.
You can set the Commission % field to any value. If several percentage components apply in your situation, you can add them together and enter the total. Keep in mind, however, that the calculator does not break them down into separate line items - it shows one total commission amount.
- Commission on price - calculated from the amount you enter in the Price (AED) field.
- Your percentage rate - the value you enter; default 12.
- Commission amount - the result of multiplying price by percentage rate and dividing by 100.
Do not assume the default 12% is a universal Noon rate. It is only a starting value in the tool. Current rates for your category, market, and seller type are in the platform's official fee schedule.
FBN and Shipping Fees in the UAE
The FBN / shipping field is where you enter the amount you want to subtract from the price after commission. This can be an order fulfillment cost, a shipping cost, or another fee you want to include in this one place. The calculator does not calculate this amount on its own - it uses exactly the value you provide.
In the UAE, order fulfillment can work in different ways. Some sellers use a model where the platform handles storage and shipping, while others arrange shipping themselves. Whichever model you use, enter the amount that matches your agreement or the current fee schedule.
- FBN - in the calculator, this is simply a field for a fulfillment or similar fee amount.
- Shipping - you can include the shipping cost here if you pay it.
- One amount - if you want to combine several costs, add them together and enter the total.
The default 12 AED is only an example entered in the tool. Change it to a value that matches your offer. If shipping depends on weight, dimensions, or zone, choose an amount for a typical order and remember that the result will be approximate.
How to Interpret the Net Result
The net result in the calculator is the amount left from the price after subtracting the commission amount and the FBN or shipping fee. The formula is: net = price - commission amount - FBN / shipping. This is not full profit, but the amount after those two deductions.
For the default values: price 199 AED, commission 12%, FBN / shipping 12 AED. The commission is 23.88 AED, and 163.12 AED remains after fees. You can use this result as a starting point for further analysis.
- Positive result - the price covers the commission and the FBN or shipping fee you entered.
- Zero result - the price exactly covers those two items but leaves nothing beyond them.
- Negative result - the fees you entered are higher than the price; it is worth reviewing the price or costs.
Keep in mind that other charges the calculator does not know about may still be deducted from the net amount. Treat the result as approximate and compare it with the current fee schedule and your own product cost.
Calculator Limits and What It Does Not Calculate
The Noon Fee Calculator (UAE) intentionally calculates only three elements: price, commission percentage, and the FBN or shipping amount. It is a simple tool for a quick estimate, not a full sales settlement system.
The tool does not account for, among other things:
- taxes, VAT, or other public charges,
- fees that were not entered in the FBN / shipping field,
- product cost, packaging, advertising, promotions, and returns,
- storage, warehousing, or other additional service fees,
- discounts, coupons, and price reductions,
- current exchange rates and currency conversion,
- individual terms of your agreement with the platform.
The result is approximate until you compare it with Noon's current fee schedule and your own cost calculation. By entering your own rates, you can calculate in any currency, but remember that the default values are only an example in AED. Before making a pricing decision, check the official rates for your category and market.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate the Noon commission for a price of 199 AED?
Enter 199 in the Price (AED) field, 12 in the Commission % field, and 12 AED in the FBN / shipping field. The calculator will show a commission of 23.88 AED and a post-fee amount of 163.12 AED. If your rate is different, change the percentage to your own.
Does the Noon UAE fee calculator show full sales profit?
No. It shows the amount left after subtracting commission and the FBN or shipping fee, but it does not deduct product cost, taxes, advertising, or other expenses. You can calculate full profit only after including all costs.
What should I enter in the FBN / shipping field?
Enter the amount you want to subtract from the price after commission, such as an order fulfillment or shipping cost. If you have several such fees, add them together and enter the total. The calculator does not calculate this amount automatically.
Are 12% and 12 AED fixed Noon rates?
No. They are only default values entered in the tool, and you can change them. Before calculating, check Noon's current fee schedule for your category and seller type.
Can I use the calculator for a currency other than AED?
Yes. Enter your amounts and rates, and treat the result as a calculation in your chosen currency. The tool shows AED by default, but all fields are editable.
Why can the calculator's net amount differ from my Noon payout?
Because the calculator includes only the percentage commission and the FBN or shipping amount you enter. Your actual settlement may include additional fees, taxes, discounts, or costs that are not in those fields. Check the detailed fee schedule and the terms of your agreement.
