How to Use the Calculator

The Kaspi commission calculator is a simple tool for sellers who want to quickly check how much of a product price remains after commission is deducted. You only need two numbers: the product price and the commission rate as a percentage.

1. In the Price field, enter the amount the buyer pays. The default is 25,000 ₸.
2. In the Commission % field, enter the rate you want to check. The default is 9.9%, and you can change it freely.
3. Read the two results: Commission is the amount deducted from the price, and Payout is the amount that remains.

All calculations run locally in your browser — the numbers you enter are not sent to any server. Amounts are shown in the platform currency, Kazakhstani tenge (₸), but if you enter prices in another currency, the result will also be in that currency. Just keep the price and rate consistent with each other.

How to Calculate Commission and Payout

The calculator performs two simple operations. First it calculates the commission, then the amount that remains after it is deducted.

• Commission = price × commission rate ÷ 100
• Payout = price × (1 − commission rate ÷ 100)

For the default values — a price of 25,000 ₸ and a rate of 9.9% — it looks like this:

1. Commission: 25,000 ₸ × 9.9 ÷ 100 = 2,475.00 ₸
2. Payout: 25,000 ₸ × (1 − 9.9 ÷ 100) = 25,000 ₸ × 0.901 = 22,525.00 ₸

You can also check it another way: subtract the calculated commission from the price, so 25,000 ₸ − 2,475.00 ₸ = 22,525.00 ₸. Both paths lead to the same result and show how much of the price the commission takes.

How the Commission Rate Affects the Result

The commission rate works in proportion to the price — the higher the percentage, the larger the amount deducted from the transaction. The table below assumes the price stays the same while you enter different example rates in the calculator.

You can see that the difference between 9.9% and 15% is 1,275 ₸ on a single sale. Across dozens of orders per month, that becomes a significant amount, so it is worth calculating commission on a real price instead of guessing. Your rate may differ from the table, so enter it in the calculator and confirm it in the platform's current fee schedule.

How to Change the Price and Commission Percentage

Both fields are editable, so you can adapt the calculator to a specific offer. When you enter a new price, you will see how the commission rises — with a fixed rate, the increase is proportional.

• Change the price when you are testing different pricing options or checking several products in the same category.
• Change the percentage when you are comparing rates — for example, the one you see in your seller dashboard with another one you are considering.
• Enter 0% if you want to see the price alone without deductions.

The default 9.9% is only a starting value in the field, not a fixed rule. Actual rates can vary by category, seller type, or program, so always confirm them in the current fee schedule. Because the fields are editable, you can also calculate in any currency: enter amounts in US dollars, euros, or another currency, and the result will be shown in that same currency.

Limitations: What the Tool Does Not Calculate

The tool calculates exactly what you see on the screen: commission on the price you enter and the payout amount. It is intentionally simple, so some elements are left out.

• Fixed and additional fees — it does not include listing fees, promotion fees, payment processing, or other items from a fee schedule.
• Taxes and contributions — it does not subtract taxes, accounting costs, or other charges. Country-specific tax rules may apply.
• Shipping and returns — it does not calculate shipping, packaging, or what happens when an item is returned.
• Currency exchange rates — it only calculates the numbers you enter; it does not convert amounts between currencies.
• Individual terms — it does not know your contract, discounts, or separately negotiated rates.

Treat the result as an indicative starting point for further calculations. If you have additional costs, add them separately, and confirm your rate in the platform's current fee schedule and your own terms of cooperation. That way your pricing decision is based on the full picture, not just commission alone.
