How to Use the Ozon FBS Cost Calculator

The Ozon FBS cost calculator helps you check how much of an order price is taken by FBS fees and how much you actually receive. Just enter four values and you see the result right away.

1. Price — the price at which you sell the product (default 1,500.00 ₽).
2. Commission % — the commission rate as a percentage (default 15%, editable).
3. Packaging — the cost of preparing the package (default 18.00 ₽).
4. Delivery to sorting center — the cost of delivering the package to the sorting center (default 40.00 ₽).

After you enter the data, you get two numbers: FBS fees and You receive. The first shows the sum of commission, packaging, and delivery. The second shows the amount left from the price after those fees are subtracted.

Example for the default values: commission is 1,500.00 × 15 ÷ 100 = 225.00 ₽. FBS fees are 225.00 + 18.00 + 40.00 = 283.00 ₽. You receive 1,500.00 − 283.00 = 1,217.00 ₽.

Amounts are shown in rubles (₽) by default, which is the currency of the market where the platform operates. You can also enter your own rates and calculate in any currency — just keep one currency in all fields. Calculations run locally in your browser, and your data is not sent anywhere.

How to Determine Ozon Commission for Your Category

Commission is usually the largest part of FBS fees, so it is worth setting it for your category instead of relying on one value for your whole store. The tool uses 15% by default, but that is only a starting point — the field is editable and should contain your rate.

How to set the right rate:

• Check the current commission pricing for the category and subcategory you sell in — rates vary between categories.
• Verify whether your offer is subject to additional contract terms or individual arrangements.
• Make sure you are looking at current pricing, not notes from previous months — platforms change rates.
• If you sell in several categories, calculate each one separately — one averaged rate will distort the picture.

The calculator computes commission from the price: FBS fees = price × commission ÷ 100 + packaging + delivery. At a price of 1,500.00 ₽ and a 15% rate, that gives 225.00 ₽ in commission.

Do not guess your rate. Enter the rate shown in the platform’s current commission schedule for your category, and remember that pricing can change — when it does, come back to the calculator with the new number.

Packaging and Delivery to Sorting Center Costs in FBS

Packaging and delivery to the sorting center are costs you take on in the FBS model. The calculator has two separate fields: Packaging (default 18.00 ₽) and Delivery to sorting center (default 40.00 ₽). You can change both values to your own.

How to estimate packaging:

• Add up the materials used for one package: box or envelope, filler, film, tape, label.
• Add protective materials if the product requires them.
• If you want to include your time, add it as a cost — that is your choice, and the tool does not require it.

How to estimate delivery to the sorting center:

• Calculate the cost of one trip or one batch of packages and divide it by the number of packages — that gives the cost per shipment.
• Consider how often you ship goods; with less frequent shipments, the unit cost can be higher.
• If you use different carriers, calculate each scenario separately.

Enter only these costs in both fields — do not add commission or product cost there, because commission has its own field, and product cost is not part of this tool at all.

How to Interpret the You Receive Result and Margin

The You receive result is the amount left from the price after FBS fees are subtracted, meaning: You receive = price − FBS fees. For the default values, that is 1,500.00 − 283.00 = 1,217.00 ₽.

This is not profit yet. To judge profitability, subtract product cost and other expenses that the calculator does not count. Only the remainder shows whether the offer makes sense.

A useful indicator is margin calculated from the selling price:

margin = (You receive − product cost − other costs) ÷ price × 100%

Example: if you receive 1,217.00 ₽ and product cost plus other costs are 700.00 ₽, then margin = (1,217.00 − 700.00) ÷ 1,500.00 × 100% ≈ 34.5%.

How to use the result:

• Check whether the You receive amount covers product cost and other fees before you treat the offer as profitable.
• Compare several variants: cheaper packaging, a different selling price, a different commission rate.
• Run a conservative scenario in which some orders are returned.
• Save results for several products to see which ones really earn money.

Treat You receive as a starting point for a decision, not as the final settlement for an order.

Limitations: Which Ozon FBS Fees the Calculator Does Not Count

The Ozon FBS cost calculator deliberately counts only three components: commission, packaging, and delivery to the sorting center. Everything else must be added separately.

• Product cost, meaning what you paid for the product or to make it.
• Logistics handled by the platform.
• Last-mile delivery, meaning delivery of the package to the customer.
• FBS processing fees.
• Payment processing fees.
• Returns and the costs associated with them.
• Taxes and other government charges.
• Current exchange rates — the tool does not convert currencies, so keep to one currency throughout the calculation.

The default rates in the tool (15% commission, 18.00 ₽ packaging, 40.00 ₽ delivery) are estimates and editable. Do not treat them as binding pricing — check current rates in the platform’s current rate information and in your contract, because individual terms can differ.

Because of that, treat the result as a quick estimate: it helps you reject clearly unprofitable offers and compare variants, but it does not replace a full settlement. Before you set a price, compare it with your store’s real costs.
