How to Use the Mercari Fee Calculator

All fields are editable. If your rates are different, replace the numbers with your own. Amounts in the calculator are in dollars, but by entering your own rates and price, you can calculate in any currency.

How to Check Current Mercari Commission and Payment Rates

The rates in the calculator are approximate and are intended for quick estimates. Mercari may change its pricing, and fees may depend on the item category, country of sale, payment method, payout method, or individual account terms.

The current rates are best checked directly at the source:

• in the official Mercari help center or seller terms,

Do not assume the default values of 10%, 2.9%, and 0.5 are current for your situation. They are only example numbers entered in the tool. After checking the pricing, enter your rates in the calculator so the result better matches your sale.

How to Include Shipping and Tax in Your Profit Calculation

The Mercari fee calculator only calculates fees related to the sales commission and payment fee. It does not have separate fields for shipping, tax, or other costs. The You receive result shows the amount after those fees, but it is not full profit if you have additional costs.

To estimate real profit, you can do this:

1. Calculate the You receive amount in the calculator for your price and rates.
2. Subtract the shipping cost from it if you cover it.
3. Subtract tax or other mandatory fees that apply to your sale.
4. Subtract the cost of buying or making the item and packaging if you want to know net profit.

If you pass shipping or tax on to the buyer, you can enter a higher price in the calculator. You will then see how Fees and You receive change. Keep in mind that tax and shipping may be calculated under their own rules, so it is best to confirm them in the current sales terms.

Treat the calculator result as a starting point. Only after subtracting all your costs will you know whether the sale is profitable.

How to Change Your Own Rates in the Calculator Fields

All fields in the calculator are editable. You can change the price, sales commission percentage, payment fee percentage, and fixed payment fee. The default values are 40 for price, 10 for sales commission, 2.9 for payment fee, and 0.5 for fixed payment fee.

If you know the current rates for your sale, enter them instead of the default values. For example:

• for a different sales commission, change the percentage in the corresponding field,
