How to Use the Wildberries Commission Calculator

The Wildberries commission calculator answers one practical question: how much remains from your sale price after the platform commission and logistics cost are deducted. You enter three values and immediately see two numbers: WB commission and Gross profit.

There are three fields to fill in:

• Price – the product's sale price; default 1,500 ₽.
• Category commission % – the percentage taken by the platform; default 19.
• Logistics – the amount you want to include as the cost of delivering an order; default 120 ₽.

The calculations run locally in your browser, so you do not need to send anything anywhere. The default currency is the ruble (₽), because it is the market currency of the platform, but you can enter your own rates and calculate in any currency.

How to Set the Category Commission Percentage

Commission is the percentage of the sale price that goes to the platform. In the calculator, you enter it in the Category commission % field. The default is 19, but that is only a starting value that you can replace with your own.

You will find the correct rate in the current Wildberries price list for the category you sell in. Rates differ between categories and can change, so do not rely on a number you remember from months ago or on information you heard from another seller.

• Determine which category your product belongs to.
• Check the platform's current price list for that category.
• Enter the percentage in the calculator.
• See how the result changes if the rate turns out to be different.

It is good practice to calculate several scenarios – that way you can see at which rate sales still make sense. Remember that the percentage is calculated on the full price: at 1,500 ₽ and a 19% rate, the commission is 285.00 ₽, or almost one fifth of the price.

All rates in the tool are approximate and editable. Before setting a price, check the current price list and the conditions on the platform.

How to Enter the Logistics Cost

Logistics is the field where you enter the amount of costs related to handling and delivering one order that you want to include in the calculation. The default value is 120 ₽, but it is editable – the tool does not treat it as fixed.

This field works like ordinary subtraction: every unit of currency added to logistics lowers Gross profit by exactly the same amount. At a price of 1,500 ₽ and a 19% commission, 1,215 ₽ remains before logistics; after subtracting 120 ₽, the screen shows 1,095.00 ₽.

Where should you get the right number? Best from your own real order handling costs. If you do not know them yet, use a cautious estimate and treat the result as approximate. It is also worth calculating a pessimistic scenario, meaning with a higher logistics amount, to check whether sales are still profitable.

Remember that the field applies to one order. If you want to evaluate a whole batch of products, multiply the result by the number of orders you plan to receive.

What the Gross Profit Result Means and Why It Is Not Full Profit

Gross profit is the amount that remains from the price after the platform commission and logistics are deducted. It is calculated with a simple formula: gross profit = price × (1 - category commission ÷ 100) - logistics. The commission itself is calculated separately: WB commission = price × category commission ÷ 100.

With the default values, it looks like this: 1,500 × 19 ÷ 100 = 285.00 ₽ commission, then 1,500 × 0.81 = 1,215 ₽, and after subtracting 120 ₽ for logistics, 1,095.00 ₽ remains.

Why is this not full profit? Because the calculator subtracts only two costs: commission and logistics. It does not know the price at which you bought or produced the item, it does not know what taxes you pay, and it does not include other Wildberries fees or your individual arrangements with the platform.

Treat this result as a quick profitability test. If very little remains after commission and logistics, sales may not make sense once other costs are added. If noticeably more remains, it is worth calculating the full picture for a specific product.

Tool Limitations: No Product Cost, Taxes, or Other WB Fees

The calculator deliberately calculates only what you see in the three fields, so its result has clear limits. It does not include:

• product cost – the purchase price, production, packaging, or preparation of the product for shipping;
• taxes – any taxes or settlements you must pay on sales;
• other Wildberries fees – beyond commission and logistics, the platform may charge additional items according to its price list;
• current price lists and exchange rates – you enter the rates yourself, and the tool does not pull data from the platform;
• your individual terms – arrangements that may differ from the approximate rates.

That is why the result is approximate, especially when you enter an estimated commission rate or estimated logistics. The default 19% and 120 ₽ are only starting values that can be changed – they are not fixed platform rates.

Before setting a price, check the current Wildberries price list and calculate the full picture: price minus all costs. The calculator gives you a solid first step, but make the decision based on your own, current data.
