How it works
The calculator compares the start and end dates of employment and calculates the difference in days, then converts the result to years, months and days. It adds previous work periods and subtracts excluded days. Thanks to this, you receive full employment experience, consistent with the principles of labor law. The result is presented in a clear form and as a total number of days.
Usage examples
Example 1: 01/01/2010 – 31/12/2020
Experience = 11 years 0 months 0 days.
Example 2: 15/03/2015 – 20/09/2023 + 2 years of previous employment
Experience = 10 years 6 months 5 days + 2 years = 12 years 6 months 5 days.
Example 3: 10/01/2012 - today, 120 days excluded
Length = difference between dates minus 120 days. Result given in years, months and days.

What counts as seniority? School, leave 20 or 26 days
Length of service determines the length of leave:20 daysfor less than 10 years of experience and26 daysafter exceeding 10 years. The leave period includes not only full-time employment, but alsoperiods of study(they do not add up - the most advantageous one counts):
| Completed school | Years included in the internship |
|---|---|
| Basic vocational/vocational school | up to 3 years |
| Secondary vocational school / technical school | up to 5 years |
| General secondary school | 4 years |
| Post-secondary school | 6 years |
| Higher studies (bachelor's or master's degree) | 8 years |
Example: after studies (8 years), only2 years of workare enough to go on 26 days of leave. The internship also includes, among others: registered unemployment with benefits, parental leave, military service and work abroad. Contracts of mandate, contracts for specific work, and running a business (with exceptions for specific employers) are not included. The calculator will add up all the periods and indicate the date from which you are entitled to a higher amount of leave.
