personality type A personality test based onfourdimensions (extraversion-introversion, cognition-intuition, thinking-feeling, judging-observation) assigns you to one of16personality types - in a model inspired by the MBTI typology. After 16 questions, you will receive a four-letter type (e.g. INFP, ESTJ) along with a short description.
Four dimensions of personality
- E / I- where do you get your energy (people or loneliness),
- S / N- how you perceive the world (facts or ideas),
- T / F- how you make decisions (logic or values),
- J / P- how you organize your life (plan or spontaneity).
Four dimensions of personality - what the test actually measures
The test assigns you to one of16 personality typesbased on four pairs of preferences:E/I- where you get your energy (contacts with people vs. time alone),S/N- how you collect information (specifics and facts vs. patterns and possibilities),T/F- how you make decisions (logic vs. values and relationships),J/P- how you organize your life (plan and closure vs. flexibility and open options). Important: it'spreference, notskill - an introvert can be great at speaking in public, it just costs him more energy.
How to use the
result sensibly. Personality type is best treated as a map of strengths: it tells you what work environment you regenerate in, how you prefer to communicate, what frustrates you in the team and what roles come naturally to you. Works well in pairs and teams - comparing types explains half of the misunderstandings ("he needs a plan, she needs options"). It is also worth knowing the limits of the method: the MBTI typology is criticized in academic psychology for being binary (people are on a continuum, not in pigeonholes), and the result may vary when re-examined. So read it like a good horoscope for sensible people: an inspiration for self-reflection, not a judgment. The distribution of 16 types in the population
The types are not evenly distributed. Approximate frequencies according to American standardization tests (MBTI Manual; in Poland the proportions may vary slightly):
| Type | Percentage | Type | Percentage |
|---|---|---|---|
| ISFJ | 13.8% | INFP | 4.4% |
| ESFJ | 12.3% | ESTP | 4.3% |
| ISTJ | 11.6% | INTP | 3.3% |
| ISFP | 8.8% | ENTP | 3.2% |
| ESTJ | 8.7% | ENFJ | 2.5% |
| ESFP | 8.5% | INTJ | 2.1% |
| ENFP | 8.1% | ENTJ | 1.8% |
| ISTP | 5.4% | INFJ | 1.5% |
The most numerous are the "guards" (SJ types) - together almost half of the population; the rarest is INFJ (~1.5%). Rare type doesn't mean "better" - it's just that your way of processing the world is found less often, which explains the common feeling of mismatch among INFJ/INTJs.
Team types and introverts among extroverts
In teamwork, pairs that differ by 1-2 letters complement each other best:NT + SJ(a visionary plus an implementer who pays attention to details),NF + ST(a people person plus a facts person), planningJwith flexibleP- provided there is mutual respect for the different style, because the same couples generate the most friction without it. Practical tips for an introvert in an extroverted office: ask for an agenda before the meeting (you will think about your position in advance), submit ideas also in writing, block time in your calendar for focused work and don't force yourself to constantly talk small talk - shorter but meaningful conversations build your position just as effectively.
