The keyboard is the primary input device in computers, laptops and smartphones. Under each key there is a switch (mechanical or membrane) which, when pressed, closes the electrical circuit on the printed circuit board. The keyboard controller reads this as coordinates in the so-called key matrix and sends the appropriate code (scancode) to the operating system, which interprets it as a text character. Problems with keys not working are a common fault, resulting from natural wear of the switches, contamination with dust or crumbs, as well as after flooding the device with liquid. Testing your keyboard online is the fastest way to diagnose hardware problems.

Ghosting and Key Rollover (KRO) - key parameters of keyboards
When testing a keyboard, it is worth paying attention to two physical phenomena, particularly important for gamers and programmers:
- Ghosting (Ghost keys):A phenomenon in which after pressing several keys at the same time, the keyboard registers an additional, unpressed key or (more often) ignores pressing another button. This is due to the construction of cheaper membrane matrices.
- Key Rollover (KRO):A parameter that determines how many keys the keyboard can register at the same time. Office keyboards usually have 2-KRO or 6-KRO. Gaming keyboards have theN-KRO(N-Key Rollover) function, which means that you can press any number of keys at the same time and the system will read each of them.

What is Anti-Ghosting in Keyboard?
This is a technology that prevents keys from getting stuck or recording unwanted characters when pressing multiple buttons at the same time (especially in the WASD keys section used in games).
Why does the keyboard write "z" instead of "y"?
The operating system has switched to the German keyboard layout (QWERTZ) instead of the Polish developer layout (QWERTY). To fix this, press Ctrl + Shift at the same time.
How to clean a flooded laptop?
Immediately unplug the laptop and remove the battery (if possible). Turn the laptop face down on a paper towel to prevent liquid from flowing onto the motherboard. Do not use a hair dryer (it may melt the keys). Consult the service.
What is the difference between a mechanical keyboard and a membrane keyboard?
The membrane keyboard registers keystrokes by pressing a rubber dome against the printed circuit board. The mechanical keyboard has a separate physical switch under each key, which ensures much greater durability, precision and better feel of the stroke.
