How the calculator works - formulas
The basis are MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) indicators. MET measures how many times more energy is consumed compared to rest. Jumping rope is a high MET activity:
- Low intensity - about 8.8 MET,
- Moderate intensity - about 11.8 MET,
- High intensity - about 12.3 MET.
In frequency mode (rpm):
- <80 spm → MET 8.8,
- 80–99 spm → MET 10.0,
- 100–119 spm → MET 11.8,
- ≥120 spm → MET 12.3.
