Where did the Rice Purity Test come from?
The purity test was created atRice Universityin Houston - originally as an integration survey for first-year students (it helped to "break the ice" and show that everyone has a different path). It experienced a viral renaissance thanks to TikTok, where comparing results became a generational game. Thescore decreases with age- it's natural (every "yes" stays forever). The test is completely anonymous: the answers are not sent anywhere, the result is counted in your browser. The test result naturallydecreases with age- each "yes" marked stays on the list forever, and over the years, life experiences increase. Therefore, comparing the result of a teenager with the result of a thirty-year-old does not make sense. The table below shows approximate, typical ranges in which the results most often fall in each age group:

The test was created as an integration game and has remained so: a low result is nothing to be ashamed of, and a high result is something to be proud of.
