How to Upload a Face Photo and Signature Scan

The tool prepares two files: a face photo and a signature. You upload each one separately, and the crop preview appears as soon as you choose a file.

Prepare a face photo — ideally sharp, evenly lit, without blur or harsh shadows, with your full face visible.
Upload that file in the field for the face photo.
Prepare a scan or photo of your signature: sign on a clean sheet of paper, place it straight, and avoid creases through the signature line.
Upload the signature file in the second field.
After you choose both files, you will see two crop previews: one for the photo and one for the signature.

Cropping and Zooming in the Preview Windows

Each preview shows the area that will go into the output file. That area's aspect ratio, or the ratio of width to height, comes directly from the pixel dimensions set for the photo and signature. When you change the dimensions, the crop recalculates immediately.

You control the crop content with two zoom sliders: one for the photo and one for the signature. The range is 1 to 4, and the smallest slider step is 0.02. A value of 1 means no zoom, and the higher you move the slider, the more the image is enlarged inside the crop.

For the face photo, make sure the entire head is in the crop and the face is centered.
For the signature, make sure the full signature line fits in the crop, from start to finish.
If something falls outside the crop, reduce the zoom and try again.

You see the previews in real time, so you can comfortably compare several settings before you prepare the files.

Setting Dimensions in px and KB Limits

Form requirements usually come down to two things: the image dimensions in pixels and the allowed file size in kilobytes. In this tool, you set both separately for the photo and separately for the signature.

The minimum image dimension is 20 pixels — you cannot set smaller values. Starting values for forms in the 'other' category are already entered, but treat them only as a starting point and replace them with those from the current notice.

How to Check the Finished Files Before Submitting

After you click 'Prepare files,' you have two files to check. A few minutes of attention can help you avoid a situation where the form rejects the photo or signature because of its dimensions or size.

Check the dimensions of both files in pixels and compare them with the requirements in the notice.
Check each file's size and make sure it falls within the required min–max range.
Open the photo and signature and review them visually: is the face complete, does the signature fit fully, and is the image neither blurry nor too dark?
Look at the crop and background — is anything cut off at the edges?
If the form lets you upload a preview before submitting, use that option.
If something does not match, go back to the settings, adjust the dimensions, size range, or zoom, and prepare the files again.
