Online Employer Cost Calculator - Employment, Mandate, and Specific-Work Contracts

This tool calculates the total cost of employment incurred by the employer. Enter a gross or net salary, set the accident insurance rate, select exemptions (such as student status under 26), and the calculator will determine pension, disability, accident, Labor Fund (FP), and FGŚP contributions across three main forms of cooperation: Employment Contract (UoP), Mandate Contract (UZ), and Contract for Specific Work (UoD). View total cost breakdowns and visual percentage distributions.

Employer contribution rates breakdown: Pension contribution 9.76%, Disability pension contribution 6.50%, Accident insurance (custom rate, default 1.67%), Labor Fund (FP) 2.45%, Guaranteed Employee Benefits Fund (FGŚP) 0.10%. Contracts for specific work (UoD) do not incur social contributions on the employer's side. For mandate contracts, students under 26 are generally exempt from ZUS and fund contributions.

How the employer cost calculator works

After clicking Calculate, the tool displays three comparative cards: Employment Contract (UoP), Mandate Contract (UZ), and Contract for Specific Work (UoD). Each card details the gross base salary, individual employer contribution components, and total overall expenditure.

Input parameters

  • Salary: Enter the base compensation in PLN for direct comparison.
  • Mode: Choose gross or net simulation. Use gross for exact statutory simulations.
  • Accident insurance rate: Percentage determined by company industry code (PKD) and risk classification (default 1.67%).
  • Special statuses: Student status and age under 26 apply statutory social contribution exemptions.

Employer cost formulas

pension = 9.76% * gross
disability = 6.50% * gross
accident = accident_rate * gross
labor_fund (FP) = 2.45% * gross
fgsp = 0.10% * gross

total_cost = gross + pension + disability + accident + FP + FGŚP

Comparative examples

Contract type Gross salary Employer contributions Key takeaway
Employment Contract (UoP) PLN 6,000 Full statutory contributions (~20.48%) Highest employer overhead, provides comprehensive social coverage.
Mandate Contract (UZ) PLN 6,000 Standard contributions (0% for students < 26) Flexible arrangement with substantial savings for student workers.
Specific-Work Contract (UoD) PLN 6,000 PLN 0 (no employer social contributions) Lowest employer cost; strictly restricted to creative, defined results.

Understanding the component share bar

Each result card features a visual distribution bar displaying the proportion of gross pay, pension, disability, accident, Labor Fund, and FGŚP contributions within the total expenditure, highlighting exactly where employer funds are allocated.
