Why isn't white chocolate considered toxic to dogs?

White chocolate is made from cocoa butter (fat), not cocoa mass, which contains theobromine. It contains only trace amounts of this substance (less than 0.01 mg/g). Nevertheless, due to its very high sugar and fat content, eating white chocolate can cause severe stomach problems in your dog and, in extreme cases, lead to acute pancreatitis.

Is there an antidote for theobromine poisoning in dogs?
