What exactly does the words-to-minutes count mean?
- Time in minutes– decimal result (e.g. 7.50 min) at the selected WPM.
- Format hh:mm:ss– readable clock time (e.g. 7m 30s or 1h 02m 10s).
- Words per second– rate expressed in seconds, useful for editing and voice-over.
- Speed level– whether it is slow, conversational, professional or speed-reading.

WPM – what is it and why does it matter?
WPM is an abbreviation forWords Per Minute, i.e. "words per minute". This is the simplest measure of reading or speaking speed. In practice, WPM differs depending on the situation: we read silently in a different way, we read aloud in a different way, we talk to the camera in a different way, and we lecture with pauses for slides in a different way.
Therefore, the converter offers two modes:Silent reading i Speech / Voice-over. In reading mode, you can aim for a pace of 160-250 WPM (depending on the difficulty of the text), and in speaking mode, values of 120-170 WPM usually work better (because speech involves pauses, breathing, accents and emotions).
