Formulas and theory
Base conversions
Hourly → annual
Annual_gross = Rate_h × Hours_week × 52
Most common: 40 h/week × 52 weeks = 2080 h/year (without subtraction holidays/absences).
Daily → annual
Annual_gross = Rate_d × Working_days_annual
Typical: approx. 250–254 working days/year (depends on calendar, holidays and holidays).
Weekly → annual
Gross_annual = Weekly_rate × 52
Monthly → annual
Gross_annual = Monthly_rate × 12 (+ possibly 13th salary)
Extras, bonuses, 13. salary
Annual_gross_after_additions = Annual_gross_base 13_salary (if applicable) Bonus_year (sum of bonuses % and/or amount) Annual_overtime
Overtime recognition (shortened)
Annual_overtime = Rate_h × Number_of_overtime × (1 + allowance) e.g. addition 50% ⇒ multiplier 1.5; 100% ⇒ 2.0
Net estimate (UoP – simplified approach)
Roczne_netto ≈ Roczne_grosto_po_dodatkach − Employee_contributions − Health_contribution − Income_tax
In the calculator, you calculate the net tax based on editable parameters (thresholds, costs, relief, contributions, PPK).
