Pokémon Types
18 types: Normal, Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Steel, Fairy. Each type has strengths (super-effective) and weaknesses (not-very-effective). Dual-type: Charizard = Fire/Flying. Bulbasaur = Grass/Poison. Strongest attack: 2× (super-effective). The weakest: 0.5× or 0× (immune).
Pokémon Base Stats
HP: Life Points. Attack (ATK): physical attack. Defense (DEF): physical defense. Sp. Attack: special attack. Sp. Defense: special defense. Speed: initiative (who attacks first). Base Stat Total (BST): The sum of all. Legendary: BST 600+. Final starter: BST 530. Average Pokemon: BST 400-450.
PokéAPI – Pokemon database
PokéAPI (pokeapi.co): free REST API with all Pokemon data. Endpoint: GET pokeapi.co/api/v2/pokemon/{id or name}. Contains: statistics, types, evolutions, descriptions, sprites, moves. The generator uses PokeAPI for randomization. Limits: 100 req/min without key (enough for the tool).

How many Pokémon are there in total?
Gen I-IX: 1,025 Pokémon (up to and including Paldea DLC, 2023). Alternate forms: Mega Evolutions (from Gen VI), Gigantamax, Regional forms (Galarian, Hisuian, Paldean) - do not count as separate pokédex numbers, but have their own statistics. Total number with molds: 1200+.
What are the strongest Pokémon (stats)?
Arceus: BST 720, all stats 120. Mewtwo: BST 680. Rayquaza: 680. Ultra Beasts: 570-600. Calyrex Shadow Rider: HP 100, SpAtk 165, BST 680. Mega Rayquaza: BST 780 (highest). Ethernaturus (Gen IX): exceptionally strong. Strongest non-legendary: Slaking 670 (but Truant ability).
How do I randomly select Pokémon for my team?
The generator randomly selects ID 1-1025. Generation Limit: Set Gen I-III for nostalgia challenge. Type-restricted: randomize only Water, only Ghost. Nuzlocke run: draw for each new location. Randomizer rom: RandomizerZX for emulators (turns Pokemon into ROMs).
What is the Nuzlocke challenge?
Rules: (1) You can only catch the first Pokémon in each route. (2) If the Pokémon "faints" = dead, you release it from the box. (3) You give each Pokémon a name. Popular variants: Hardcore Nuzlocke (levels = badge limit). Wedlocke (in pairs). Nuzlocke randomizer (chaos). Goal: a more intense, emotional gaming experience.
What are the best starter Pokémon to choose?
