Invisible character generator - make an "empty" message, hide the separator or clear the text of hidden garbage

There are characters that cannot be seen, but the computer (and most applications) "feel" them. Thanks to them, you can create a blank message, spread lines in WhatsApp, insert a discreet separator in a post, or - most importantly - remove invisible characters that mess up the formatting after pasting the text. This generator allows you to create them, inject them into the text, randomize and clean pasted content.

What are invisible characters and why do they exist at all?

"Invisible characters" are Unicode characters that most often do not have their own glyph (that is, nothing draws on the screen), but affect how text is divided, combined, copied and interpreted by applications. In practice, they act like micro-instructions: sometimes they separate elements, sometimes they block unwanted concatenation, and sometimes they simply increase the length of a string without changing the appearance.

It sounds technical, but the effect is simple: you can create "blank" text that can be pasted, or get rid of hidden characters pasted from a PDF, editor, instant messenger or AI generator.

The most common uses (normal, real-life ones)

People use this type of characters surprisingly often - but they usually don't know that they are them. If ever something "doesn't want to be copied", the search engine doesn't find the word, and the text looks identical but behaves differently... it's very possible that invisible characters are to blame.

  • empty messages or "blank" comments where the application requires the character
  • separators and spaces in instant messengers (e.g. WhatsApp)
  • hidden separation of words/elements without visible spaces
  • cleaning text from invisible garbage after copying
  • tests: checking the system counts characters "whether after Unicode" or "after view"

How to use the generator - four modes, four different "superpowers"

The tool has four operating modes. You choose the mode, character type (e.g. Zero-Width Space), set parameters and generate the result. Simple, but it's worth understanding the differences - because each mode is good for something different.

Mode 1

Generate String

You create a clean string of invisible characters of a given length. Perfect for "empty" messages, empty names (where it passes), and character limit tests.

Mode 2

Inject every N

You paste the text and the generator inserts an invisible character every certain number of characters. This is a good way to make delicate separators or test how applications count length.

Mode 3

Random

You paste text and set the probability of character injection. The effect is "irregular", so it is useful for simulating real pastes from various sources.

Mode 4

Clean up

You paste the text and the tool removes common invisible characters. This is a rescue mode when the text looks normal but breaks the search, sorting or formatting.

Character types: which to choose and when

In practice,Zero-Width Space (U+200B)is usually enough, because it is widely supported and behaves predictably. But sometimes it's better to c
