How does our NBP exchange rate converter work?

The tool automatically downloads current average rates frompublic API of the National Bank of Poland(table A). After entering the amount in PLN, we calculate the indicated value in selected currencies. In the event of temporary unavailability of the NBP API, we use the recently saved data orsafe emergency ratesso that the tool can also work offline on the server side. In the interface you always see an indication whether the rate comes directly from the API, from the cache or from emergency values.
