Other tools you may find usefulCrypto wallet QR code generator - safe and fast Bitcoin and Ethereum transfers
Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) or Tether stablecoins (USDT) are based on unique, long public addresses. Such an address is a complicated alphanumeric sequence (e.g.1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa), which is easy to make mistakes when typing it out manually. In the blockchain world, an address error means the irretrievable loss of sent funds - cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed or filed. The safest and most convenient way to provide or share your wallet address is with a QR code. Our free online crypto wallet QR code generator allows you to instantly turn a long address into a QR graphic that a second user can easily scan with their mobile phone camera.
The generator works 100% locally, which guarantees full security - your wallet address is not sent to external servers, and the QR code is rendered directly in the browser.
Address formats of popular cryptocurrencies supported by the generator
Each blockchain network (cryptocurrency) has its own addressing standards. The table below compares the most common public address formats:
| Cryptocurrency name | Symbol | Typical address format/standard | Address structure example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (Legacy) | BTC | Starts with the digit "1" (Pay-to-Pubkey-Hash standard - P2PKH). | 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa |
| Bitcoin (SegWit) | BTC | Starts with "bc1q" (Native SegWit / Bech32 format). | bc1qar0srrr7xfkth5asy8py0qle0thstt.. |
| Ethereum / ERC-20 | ETH | Starts with "0x" and consists of 40 hexadecimal characters. | 0x742d35Cc6634C0532925a3b844Bc454e4438f44e |
| Tether (TRC-20) | USDT | Starts with the letter "T" (TRON network). | TXbM6v1m46c24C0532925a3b844Bc454e443 |
| Litecoin | LTC | Usually starts with the letter "L" or "M". | LNT2d35Cc6634C0532925a3b844Bc454e4438 |
Security when sharing QR codes and crypto addresses
Although QR codes are extremely convenient, you should follow basic security rules when handling financial transactions:
- Always verify the first and last characters:After generating and scanning the QR code, compare the first 4 and last 4 characters of the address with the source address before clicking the "Send" button in your wallet. Some malware (so-called clipboard hijackers) can replace addresses in the system clipboard.
- Select the correct network:Make sure you are generating the QR code for the correct network. Sending USDT from the Ethereum network (ERC-20) to a USDT wallet address on the TRON network (TRC-20) will result in a loss of funds.
- Secure your private key:The QR code you generate with this tool should only contain yourpublic address(used for payments). Never generate QR codes for private keys or seed phrases!
