Advanced Morse Code Translator & Audio Player

A complete bidirectional text and Morse code conversion tool. Translate text into Morse code or decode Morse sequences back into clean text with real-time audio playback, visual signaling, vibration feedback, adjustable WPM speed, and audio export.

What this tool does

The converter provides real-time, error-tolerant translation between plain text and Morse code. It supports Latin letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and international diacritics (including Polish characters: Ą, Ć, Ę, Ł, Ń, Ó, Ś, Ż, Ź). Audio controls include sound style customization (continuous Radio tone or mechanical Telegraph click), WPM speed adjustments (5–60 WPM), frequency tuning (100–2000 Hz), and WAV audio download.

Key features

  • Instant bidirectional Text ↔ Morse code conversion without page reloads.
  • Full support for international and Polish diacritics: Ą, Ć, Ę, Ł, Ń, Ó, Ś, Ż, Ź.
  • Audio playback controls: Play, Pause, Stop, and Loop.
  • Audio sound modes: Radio (pure sine wave tone) and Telegraph (vintage mechanical click).
  • Customizable playback parameters: speed from 5 to 60 WPM, audio frequency from 100 to 2000 Hz.
  • Visual light flash and mobile vibration signaling (can be toggled on/off).
  • One-click copy to clipboard and input clearing.
  • Audio export: download your generated Morse code as a WAV audio file.

Morse code formatting rules

The converter adheres to international standard formatting conventions:

  • Letters within a word are separated by a single space.
  • Words are separated by a forward slash /.
  • Dots are represented by . and dashes by - or _.
  • Unrecognized characters are marked with # for easy identification.

Conversion mechanism

Text to Morse

The algorithm splits text into words, converts letters to uppercase, and maps each character to its standardized dot-and-dash sequence. Unsupported characters are safely flagged with #, and separators are normalized for clean readability and audio playback.

Morse to Text

The decoder splits input by / into words and spaces into letters. Underscores and hyphens are treated equivalently as dashes. Decoded letters are assembled into coherent sentences.

Step-by-step user guide

  1. Select your conversion mode: Text to Morse or Morse to Text.
  2. Type or paste your content into the input field – the translation appears automatically.
  3. To listen, enable sound and choose your preferred audio mode (Radio or Telegraph).
  4. Adjust playback speed (WPM) and tone frequency (600–700 Hz recommended for beginners).
  5. Use Play, Pause, and Stop to review the sequence.
  6. Copy the output or export the audio as a WAV file.
